The Townshend Taherzadeh Library and Archives is established in honour of George Townshend (1876-1957), the founding figure of the Irish Bahá’í Community, and Adib Taherzadeh (1921-2000), a father figure during its formative years.
Located in Waterford, the library’s primary objectives are to promote, preserve and provide accessibility to the rich history and development of the Bahá’í Faith in the island of Ireland and throughout the world, and to become a centre of learning and research for future generations.
